Edward Burtynsky is a Canadian photographer and filmmaker, renowned for his large format photographs of industrial landscapes and the environmental impact of human activity. His work has been featured in numerous exhibitions worldwide, including at the Museum of Modern Art (New York), the Art Institute of Chicago, and the Canadian Museum of Contemporary Photography. Burtynsky’s acclaimed book Water was shortlisted for the 2013 Banff Mountain Book Award, and his feature-length film Manufactured Landscapes was nominated for an International Emmy.
