Marian De Gier is a Dutch immigrant and an Emily Carr University of Art & Design graduate. After several different creative career pursuits, she decided trying her hand at silversmithing and is loving it! When her first chickadee left the nest, she took over the room and transformed it into a home studio. When neighbours started to want to buy her creations, she decided to give it a go and Fire & Grace Silverworks was born. Marian uses partly refined, quality sterling silver and gemstones and is always inspired by the natural beauty, colours and textures of Beautiful British Columbia as well as the city of Vancouver, where she lives.
