Karin Bubaš
Known for her photographs, collages, and drawings, Karin Bubaš explores the construction of gender in both fashion and art. Her practice is a conceptual interrogation of media that sets up an intersection between photography, film, advertising, and high art. In this hybrid space, she often stages women and asks questions about their role in the history of representation. Since studying at Emily Carr Institute of Art + Design, her works have been exhibited extensively nationally and internationally. She has had solo exhibitions at the Canadian Cultural Centre (Paris), the Charles H. Scott Gallery (Vancouver), and Monte Clarke Gallery (Vancouver).
